Related to Bribery Case, KPK Prosecutor States Saipul Jamil's Parole Request Rejected

Kapanlagi.com - The Jakarta Corruption Court held its final session with the agenda of signing the documents for the review session of artist Saipul Jamil's case. The review session is related to the bribery case committed by Saipul Jamil against the panel of judges at the North Jakarta District Court regarding a molestation case.

The session was held at the Corruption Court in Central Jakarta on Friday (26/3). Saipul Jamil himself attended the session virtually.

"With the signing of the session documents, Saipul Jamil's review request is now complete, and the panel of judges will determine whether it will be granted or not. So the review session is complete, the session is closed," said Judge Rustiyoni during the session.

KPK Prosecutor, M Nur Azis expressed optimism about winning the Judicial Review (PK) filed by Saipul Jamil. According to him, the PK dossier submitted by Saipul does not show any new evidence.

"Based on what Saipul Jamil's legal advisor conveyed, we believe that we are the same, there is no novum," said Azis after the trial.

"For us, we are just optimistic. As we have responded in our conclusion, this is not the novum required in the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP)," he added.

It is known that in this case, Saipul Jamil filed a Judicial Review (PK) related to a bribery case involving a judge at the North Jakarta District Court to influence the verdict in a molestation case. Saipul Jamil submitted four novum or new evidence.

The former husband of dangdut singer Dewi Perssik was found guilty of bribing a panel of judges at the North Jakarta District Court with Rp 250 million. Due to this case, Saipul had to serve time in prison and has not been released until now.
