Results of D'Academy 8 Top 26 Group 1: Bintang Bangka Belitung Eliminated

Kapanlagi.com - Bintang, a contestant from the Bangka Belitung Islands, has officially been eliminated from the Top 26 Group 1 of Dangdut Academy 8 (DA8) which aired on Friday (21/8/2026) on Indosiar. This news was confirmed through a post on the official Instagram account @indosiar, marking the end of Bintang's journey in this dangdut talent search competition.

In the Top 26 Group 1 round, Bintang competed closely with four other contestants: Alexa (Ciamis), Clara (Langkat), Rangga (Bantaeng), and Kira (Bandung). Among these five participants, Bintang ultimately became the only one who had to end their struggle and could not advance to the next round.

With Bintang's elimination, the competition in Dangdut Academy 8 is narrowing down towards the next rounds, where the remaining contestants must continue to showcase their best performances.

1. Journey in Dangdut Academy

Before finally being eliminated, Bintang managed to achieve several accomplishments during this competition. Here is a summary of his journey over time:

• Audition round: Bintang successfully passed the Dangdut Academy 8 auditions and advanced to the next round.
• Top 37 (August 3, 2026): Performing the song "Waiting", Bintang successfully received three standing ovations from judges Soimah, Dewi Perssik, and Nassar. This performance was quite special considering Bintang, who usually performs upbeat songs, had to sing a slow song in this round.
• Top 31 (August 12, 2026): Bintang was part of Group 3 under the guidance of D'Coach SelfiYamma, and successfully advanced to the Top 26 round.
• Top 26 (August 21, 2026): Bintang ultimately had to end his journey after being eliminated in Group 1, competing against Alexa, Clara, Rangga, and Kira.

2. Tight Competition in All Groups

After Group 1 completed the Top 26 round, the DA8 competition will continue with performances from Group 2 to Group 5 in the following days. Each group is still accompanied by three coaching teams, namely MellyLee, Fildan, and SelfiYamma, who guide each contestant up to the final round.

In addition to the vocal competition among the contestants, this program is also enlivened by a series of experienced hosts, such as Ramzi, RinaNose, Gilang Dirga, RizkyBillar, and Jirayut, who bring entertainment elements to each episode.
