Kapanlagi.com - Tasya DA7 or Tasya Allesia reflects on her competition journey in D'Academy 7. Now a senior in Dangdut Academy 8, she mentions that she never expected to come this far, especially to become the champion.
"I really didn't expect it, you can see from the things I brought here. Back then, I thought the final audition was it, I was just lucky. I brought very few clothes," Tasya said in an exclusive interview with KapanLagi.com some time ago.
This confession refers to her very minimal preparations when entering the dorm. She arrived with low expectations and without a plan to stay long in the competition. However, her journey continued until she completed all the rounds and ended up with the title of champion of D'Academy 7.
In the early phase, Tasya emphasized that she did not set any specific targets. Her focus was to perform her best every time she took the stage and to ensure there was progress from one performance to the next.
"Actually, I didn't have any targets before. Because I wasn't expecting much. I just tried to perform my best first. I aimed to have progress in each of my performances," she continued.
When she started competing, she expressed her gratitude if she could make it into the top 10. She shared this statement with her mother.
"So when I got here, I was really surprised. I told my mom, 'I swear, I was already so grateful just to make it to the Top 10,'" said Tasya.
After entering a phase with fewer participants following the Top 10—when the competition narrowed down after the Top 6—Tasya decided to set a new goal. She aimed for a position in the top three.
"But for now, who doesn't want to be in the top three? Tasya hopes for the top three," concluded Tasya.
That hope eventually came true. Tasya broke into the top three and surpassed her competitors, ultimately being crowned the champion of D'Academy 7.
After that victory, Tasya returned to the same stage as a senior for the next generation in Dangdut Academy 8.
