Saipul Jamil's House Burglarized, Perpetrator is His Own Employee

Kapanlagi.com - Dangdut singer Saipul Jamil experienced an unpleasant incident. The house of Dewi Persik's ex-husband was burglarized on Sunday (20/2/2022). Saipul Jamil's mobile phone and motorcycle were stolen and taken away by the perpetrator.

It turns out that the perpetrator who took away Saipul Jamil's mobile phone and motorcycle was his own employee who had been working for over a month.

"The culprit is indeed internal, not from outside. Because they have been working with me for over a month. So the incident happened during Maghrib, I was with the workers here, usually we pray together and so on. So during that time, when I was outside, they operated for a long time, almost three hours, because after Maghrib, I never go home," said Saipul Jamil at his residence in Pondok Gede area, Monday (21/2/2022).

The singer, who is usually called Bang Ipul, is someone who trusts his employees at home very much. So much so that Saipul Jamil puts his valuable items, such as his mobile phone, anywhere.

"I do trust my employees too much, I never lock the room and they know where my vehicles are located. And also where my mobile phones are. I have three mobile phones, and the one that was taken was an iPhone, iPhone 11 Pro Max, and another one, a Poco Xiaomi phone," said Saipul Jamil.

1. Get to Know the Perpetrator

Saipul Jamil did not expect that his employee would take his cellphone and motorcycle. Moreover, Saipul Jamil himself is familiar with the perpetrator. In fact, Saipul Jamil and his employees often worship together.

"I never thought about it at all, because I have never had any problems with my employees. And they are all good people in my eyes. So, I initially didn't suspect 'where did they go after praying?'. I was alone, right? I was with four people," he said.

"I just thought positively, maybe they went to buy food. Usually, we gather again, pray isha, why didn't they come back? Then finally, I went home, also bought food. When I arrived home, 'where is my cellphone on the table?' and the charger was also taken, so it was complete," he added.

2. Report to the Police

Initially, the 41-year-old singer did not want to report the perpetrator to the police. However, because one motorcycle was missing, coincidentally the vehicle belonged to his older brother, Saipul Jamil finally reported the perpetrator to the East Jakarta Duren Sawit Police Station.

"At first, I didn't want to make a report, but since my brother's motorcycle was also taken, luckily the vehicle registration was not attached to the key. So, in the end, I respected my brother, afraid that he would think negatively of me, whether I cooperated or not, so I made a report," said Saipul Jamil.

Upon investigating the crime scene, the Duren Sawit Police Station suggested that Saipul Jamil report the case to the Pondok Gede Police Station. Considering that Saipul Jamil's residence is still on the border of the Pondok Gede area.

"The police came to the crime scene, took photos and all that, and finally said 'sir, this is not within my jurisdiction, this is the jurisdiction of the Pondok Gede Police Station', but I will assist you. It was extraordinary. Finally, I was assisted to the Pondok Gede Police Station. From there, it was immediately followed up," he said.

3. Contacted by the Perpetrator

Interestingly, when I was about to report the incident, the perpetrator contacted Saipul Jamil intending to return the stolen items.

"Just when I was about to write the chronology, suddenly the thief contacted me. His number was blocked before and couldn't be reached, but now he wants to return the items," said Saipul Jamil.

4. Returned

The perpetrator's intention to return Saipul Jamil's belongings turned out to be true. Without any clear reason, the perpetrator suddenly asked Saipul Jamil to come to the specified location. After meeting, the stolen phone and motorbike were finally returned by the perpetrator.

"He wanted to inform me of the location. So, he shared the location with me, and I followed it. We met in the Cengkareng area, quite far. Finally, we negotiated," he said.

Because there was good intention from the perpetrator, Saipul Jamil finally decided to cancel his intention to report the perpetrator to the Pondok Gede Police Station.

"Well, I talked to the officer, 'Sir, it seems like this thief has a good intention to return the stolen item, what should we do?' 'Okay, give him an ultimatum, if it's not returned by 1 o'clock, we will make a police report,'" said Saipul Jamil.

"Finally, I told the thief, 'Okay, I will meet you, but if by 1 o'clock it's not resolved, we will proceed with the report,' that's what he said. Initially, the plan was to return it to my house, but he was afraid," Saipul Jamil concluded.
