Nurbayan did not expect that his meeting with Didi on MNC TV in December 2019 would be their last. He even sent greetings to Didi through a friend who recently went to Solo.

"Just got news from friends. Very surprised. Very sudden. When my friend went to Solo, he asked me to send greetings to mas Didi Kempot. Suddenly, I received news that he's no longer here," said Nurbayan when contacted on Tuesday, (5/5).
Those greetings turned out to be Nurbayan's last for Didi. This morning, Didi felt weak in his studio and later lost consciousness. He was then taken to the hospital, but couldn't be saved.
For Nurbayan, Didi Kempot is someone he will never forget. The songwriter and singer is a role model and motivator who keeps him and his fellow local artists motivated in their work.
"He is very motivating, inspiring, especially for local artists who are the benchmark for young potential artists. A motivator for me and other local artists," he said.

Every time they meet, Didi never tires of giving encouragement to Nurbayan. That's what the singer, who is also famous for his Javanese songs, always remembers.
"Every time I meet Mas Didi Kempot, it's always impressive. He always encourages. Nur is motivated by Nur. The last time I met him was at MNC, I think it was in December," said Nur.
Regarding the illness Didi suffered, Nurbayan admitted that he did not understand. Until now, Didi has never complained about his illness to others.
"I don't know much because Mas Didi Kempot is never sick. Always cheerful, spirited. That's why when I heard this news, I was very shocked," he said.
