The Covid-19 Pandemic Brings Its Own Wisdom to Gunawan LIDA

In a live session with Kapanlagi Jaga Jarak on Wednesday (4/11), Gunawan said that when the competition temporarily stopped due to the pandemic, he had the opportunity to learn so that his performance could be better.

"There were happy and sad moments, if Gunawan is happy, he didn't expect to become the Runner-up of LIDA 2020, if it weren't for the pandemic, maybe he wouldn't have become the champion," Gunawan said.

"Because before the pandemic, Gunawan's appearance had many shortcomings and mistakes, and Gunawan's friends were very talented and had a strong mentality before the pandemic. But during the pandemic, there was a break, and Gunawan used that time to practice to improve from his previous performance," he continued.

1. Sad Celebrate Victory Alone

Although he managed to secure second place, Gunawan admitted that he felt a bit sad because he only celebrated his victory alone. His sadness was even more pronounced when the competition ended, as he couldn't return to his hometown to celebrate the victory with his family and supporters there.

"If we look at previous years, it's sad that those who become winners are accompanied by their parents on stage and paraded when they return to their hometown. It's very unfortunate that I had to celebrate the victory alone yesterday," he said.

2. Satisfied with Achievements

Never expected to be in the current position, Gunawan expressed satisfaction with his achievement as the runner-up of LIDA 2020. Although initially there was a slight feeling of regret for not being able to win the championship title.

"Certainly, there is a feeling of 'why am I not the champion', that's when talking about competition and seeking victory. But in terms of satisfaction, Gunawan feels truly satisfied with his results even though he became the second champion. Because previously, he never expected to be in this position, as he only thought about being able to appear on TV," he concluded.
