The Twins Hasan-Husein Capture Attention at DA 8 Audition, Willing to Leave at 2 AM from Karawang

In the midst of the excitement of the Jakarta auditions, twin brothers from Karawang, Hasan and Husein, captured attention with their extraordinary efforts to realize their dream of becoming future dangdut stars.

Hasan revealed that he has made thorough preparations for more than a month before finally daring to perform in front of the judges. In addition to honing his vocal skills, full support from his family has been the main capital for this man from Karawang to step into this prestigious event.

"Preparations have been more than a month," said Hasan when met at the Indosiar Studio, Emtek City, West Jakarta, Sunday (10/05/2026).

Hasan's determination is evident from his journey to the audition location. He and his twin brother are willing to cut back on their rest time and leave home while it is still dark to arrive at the location early and get a spot in the front of the line.

"Arrived from 5 AM. Left home at 2 (AM). Arrived here at 5. As a parent, I support him, I support. I hope what he wants can be achieved," Hasan expressed.

1. First Time Participating in a Talent Search Audition

In line with his older brother, Husein also showed the same enthusiasm, although he admitted to feeling a bit nervous while in the audition room. As a participant who is auditioning for a national talent search for the first time, Husein feels grateful to have gone through the judging process smoothly.

"I was tested on the songs 'Milikku' and 'SMS'. Thank God, it went well, I am very happy. I have never auditioned before, this is my first time. I hope this can be a learning experience, to learn for the future to be even better," Husein explained.

2. Caught the Attention of Melly Lee

The seriousness of participants like Hasan and Husein apparently caught the attention of guest judge, Melly Lee. The LIDA 2020 champion admitted to being impressed with the quality of audition participants in Jakarta this year, who were considered very dedicated and prepared everything in great detail.

"So far, I've heard that the auditions in Jakarta are really good, they are beautiful, and truly dedicated. Maybe I also saw some that I met in other regions who auditioned elsewhere and are trying again here, they are more prepared. The point is, I think they were quite impressive," said Melly Lee.

3. Melly Lee is Touched

Seeing the struggles of participants who came from outside the city, Melly Lee admitted to being very touched. For her, the enthusiasm of the participants who were willing to queue since early morning reminded her of her own struggles when she first started her career in the dangdut music industry a few years ago.

"I am touched because seeing their struggles is really inspiring as they are so determined to chase their dreams. Definitely seeing them queue like that reminds me of my own past because I also used to perform offline in Bandung. So I really feel their queue reminds me of my own experiences back in the day," concluded Melly.
