Unable to Return Home, Lesti's Plan to Visit Hometown is Cancelled

Kapanlagi.com - Singer Lesti Andryani can't celebrate Eid in her hometown due to the ban on traveling during the Covid-19 pandemic. 

"Last year we didn't go home either. This Eid, we can't fully celebrate with our extended family in the village," said Lesti's father, Endang Mulyana in Tangerang.

1. Missing Hometown

Endang Mulyana said that his daughter has been longing to experience Eid in her hometown, Cianjur, West Java. Lesti even had plans to enjoy fruit with her extended family.

"Dede loves rujak, she only eats rujak for iftar. Dede has already said that when she goes back to the village, she plans to gather and enjoy rujak in the rice fields, pick fruits, and make petis," he said.

2. Obeying Regulations

However, unfortunately, the pandemic is not yet over. Lesti and her family chose to follow the government's regulations to suppress the spread of Covid-19. Although they do not deny it, they really want to see their hometown.

"I really want to (go back to my hometown), initially Dede planned to go back earlier if Covid is gone, but apparently it's still here," said Endang Mulyana.
