Being in quarantine at Dangdut Academy 8 taught Zhifanna, a participant from Pesisir Selatan, to adapt to various new routines that she had never done before at home.
When met backstage at Top 37 D'Academy 8 at Emtek Indosiar Studio recently, Zhifanna shared her new habits during her time in the dormitory.
One of the biggest changes Zhifanna felt during quarantine was doing laundry. While still at home, Zhifanna admitted that she very rarely, if ever, washed her own clothes. Her daily time was consumed by school and attending various singing events in Padang.
However, the situation in the quarantine dormitory forced her to be independent. Although the dormitory provides laundry facilities, she felt that laundry would take longer due to having to queue with many other participants. Moreover, the amount of clothes she needed to wash was not much, so she chose to wash them herself.
"I have only a few clothes, so I just wash (them) myself," said Zhifanna on Friday, (7/8/2026).
Despite the distance, communication with her family has never been interrupted. Every day, she always makes time to call her mother.
In each of those phone calls, her mother always gives important advice that Zhifanna keeps in mind. Her mother asks Zhifanna to always maintain her attitude while competing.
"Please, my mom said, stay humble, and keep your words in check," she said
The message to watch her words is acknowledged by Zhifanna because she realizes that she has a tendency to speak impulsively.
