Remembering Trisno, Sandy from PAS Band Says the Deceased Was Very Devout During Umrah

The departure of Trisno left a very deep memory for Sandy from PAS Band. Sandy recounted the emotional moment when he had to go down directly to the grave to bury his friend.

Trisno's departure was felt to be very peaceful, and everything went very smoothly. Sandy felt this was a good sign for the deceased who had fought against his illness for three weeks in the hospital.

"I went down to the grave, I was there with Bengbeng to bury him. So everything was made easier," said Sandy from PAS Band when met in the Epicentrum area, South Jakarta, Tuesday (3/8/2026).

One of Sandy's most memorable moments was when they performed Umrah together in 2023. According to him, not all bands have the rare opportunity to worship together in the Holy Land.

"Hopefully, this is also a sign that Trisno has a good ending. Especially since in 2023, we as a band performed Umrah together," Sandy reminisced.

While in Mecca, Sandy observed a significant spiritual change in Trisno. The late musician spent much of his time worshiping and reading the Quran in front of the Ka'bah.

"We performed Umrah together, and I witnessed that Trisno was very focused on his worship there. Almost every day he read the Quran in front of the Ka'bah, in the Masjidil Haram," he explained further.

Sandy hopes that all the worship deeds performed by Trisno during his life can be accepted by Allah SWT. He also believes that the illness suffered by the deceased before passing away was a means of expiating sins."And I see that hopefully this illness he suffered is a means of erasing sins. Moreover, his worship activities also show that he was a very good person," concluded Sandy.
