Momo candidly discusses the biggest challenges she faced before finally deciding to return to singing after a 10-year hiatus. The feeling of insecurity due to past trauma is said to be a struggle she has kept to herself for quite a long time.

"If we talk about challenges, to be honest, I felt a lack of self-confidence for quite a while. So, maybe this is the first time I'm expressing this to the media today," Momo said when met in Bekasi on Wednesday (30/7/2026).

"Because I never talked about it after the incident with the previous group. The previous incident really traumatized me. Trauma in the sense that, from my perspective, I felt like I was discarded at that time. So, it's like, 'Am I not worth that much?" she added.

The feeling of insecurity even made Momo directly question the reason why the Enau team still wanted to collaborate with her despite her long absence from the music industry."So actually, I might have told Mas Benyo, 'Mas, why do you have to contact me? I’ve never gone viral like the artists nowadays. I haven't released any work for a long time,'" she said.

"But because of the spirit that was given, 'there are still many waiting for Momo.' Well, those words made my confidence grow, it emerged, because it overcame this trauma. So I was continuously given support, continuously supported," Momo continued.

Behind the long process of overcoming that trauma, Momo admitted she was not alone. Support from close people, especially family, was mentioned as the main strength that made her brave enough to return to the music industry."Friends. So when they always comment, whether on my social media, or on my group’s social media or YouTube. Family. Family is definitely the number one support. Yes, there are definitely no prohibitions like perhaps the rumors that have circulated, that I was forbidden to sing is actually not true. But I was told, as a wife and mother, there must be limitations that need to be considered, and priorities must be arranged," explained Momo.

The feeling of insecurity that once haunted Momo is now slowly fading away. Momo is back with the single "Sudah Tahu Tuhan Kita Berbeda" together with Enau, marking her official comeback to the Indonesian music industry.

"This is definitely a concept from one of the teams at Musica, namely Mas Benyo. And the song 'Sudah Tahu Tuhan Kita Berbeda' was actually released in 2024 in Enau's album, in the album Lingkaran, and we are still curious about the strength of this song. Finally, we released the song on July 28," said Enau.
