Younger Brother Says Diding Boneng Still Wants to Leave the House Despite Being Sick

Kapanlagi.com - Diding Boneng passed away at the age of 76 on Monday morning due to respiratory issues and a stroke. His body was laid to rest at the funeral home in the Matraman area, Central Jakarta, before being taken to the TPU Menteng Pulo cemetery in the afternoon.

His younger brother, Zainal Arifin, remembers the senior actor as a very active person, even when his health was declining.

"He is someone who can't stay still. Even when he's sick, sometimes he goes out to TIM (Taman Ismail Marzuki). This is what we fear, that he might fall on the way to TIM," said Zainal Arifin when met at the funeral home in Matraman, Central Jakarta, on Monday (3/8/2026).

The family often provides supervision to ensure Diding Boneng continues to rest. He was said to still want to visit his favorite area in Cikini, but the family held him back to prevent his condition from worsening.

1. After Hospitalization, Advised to Rest Fully

Zainal explained that the family's concerns arose because Diding Boneng's physical condition was unstable after the stroke attack. Since returning home, the family has been trying to limit his activities.

After undergoing treatment in the hospital for ten days, Diding was asked to remain in his room. This policy was adopted by the family to maximize the recovery period and prevent outdoor activities.

"After returning from the hospital, he was calm, really calm. The family said he shouldn't go out. So he just stayed in the room, not going out at all," Zainal explained.

According to Zainal, in the last three days at home, Diding appeared more peaceful than usual. This calmness allowed the family to focus on accompanying and supervising him at home.

2. Diding Boneng's Last Moments with Family

In his final moments, Diding Boneng was accompanied by his children and closest relatives. Zainal mentioned that the eldest child of the deceased was by his father's side until he took his last breath.

"His oldest child, then my youngest sister, and his child who is currently at the grave, Aryo," he said.

Diding Boneng passed away at 06:04 AM WIB. Zainal reported that the cause was respiratory distress and stroke. The deceased was recorded to be 76 years old.

The body was laid to rest at the funeral home in the Matraman area, Central Jakarta. The family has agreed to bury the deceased at TPU Menteng Pulo in the afternoon.
