Amanda Ngoc Nguyen: From Survivor of Sexual Violence to the First Vietnamese Woman to Fly into Space

Amanda Ngoc Nguyen is not only a human rights activist and scientist, but also an inspiring figure who has broken through the limits of possibility. Through her hard work and dedication, Amanda has not only changed the legal system in the United States but also made new history for Asian women in the fields of science and space. Here’s a little story of her life!

Amanda was born on October 10, 1991, in California, United States, to a family of Vietnamese immigrants. Since childhood, she has shown an interest in science and social justice.
