Dua Lipa Cancels Performance in Jakarta

Kapanlagi.com - Dua Lipa was scheduled to perform at the Indonesia Arena - Jakarta on Saturday (11/9). Unfortunately, less than a day before, Dua Lipa announced that her concert was canceled. This was known from her Instagram story post on Friday (11/8).

"It is with a heavy heart that I announce I cannot perform in Jakarta on Saturday (11/9). I was very ready to perform in Indonesia but this concert is not safe to continue due to security issues with the stage," she wrote.

Furthermore, Dua Lipa also expressed her regret for not being able to greet her fans.

"I was really looking forward to performing in front of all of you, especially after quite a long time since my last concert in Jakarta," she added.

It is known that Dua Lipa's concert is part of her global tour in Asia. Starting in Singapore on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, this tour will end in Seoul on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.

In her tweet, she replied to the announcement of the concert by the performer of the song Blow Your Mind (Mwah) in Thailand, writing, "The concert tickets for an artist as big as Dua Lipa, if converted to rupiah, are only 2.5 million, lol, Indonesian promoters can't relate."

"If calculated, watching a concert in BKK (Bangkok) is Rp2.5 (million) + hotel (Rp)500 thousand x 3 nights in the Pratunam area, Air Asia round trip (Rp) 2.3 million, so it's only (Rp)6.3 million excluding snacks. Probably only (Rp)8 million total, already traveling," she added. The tweet was then flooded with responses from netizens.
