Netflix Reveals First Look of Gran Gran Character in AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER, Here's the Complete Portrait

These latest photos introduce several characters, including Kanna (Casey Camp-Horinek), who is often referred to as "Gran Gran" by her grandchildren, Sokka and Katara. Although she is not a bender, Gran Gran is a talented healer and one of the oldest residents of the Southern Water Tribe.  

Another image shows Yukari (Tamlyn Tomita) as Mayor Suki's mother of Kyoshi Island, who is tough and protective. Adding Kyoshi's mayor means not only exploring more of Suki's past, but also the world of AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER.  

For KLovers who are not familiar with the original Nickelodeon series, June (Arden Cho) is a bounty hunter hired by Zuko, the eldest son of Fire Lord Ozai, to capture the Avatar.  

On the other hand, Jet (Sebastian Amoruso) is the leader of the Freedom Fighters, a group of Earth Kingdom refugees who have long held a grudge against the Fire Nation after his parents were killed by firebenders.  

Lastly, The Mechanist played by Danny Pudi. The Mechanist apparently will get decent screentime in the upcoming adaptation. The newly released photo gives a glimpse of the inventor and engineer from the Earth Kingdom who becomes the weapons maker for the Fire Nation, complete with goggles and such.  

Well, KLovers, besides that, Yukari's presence is good news for Kyoshi Warriors fans. Her presence is considered to bring many things to look forward to in the Netflix Avatar remake, including the story about Suki.  

A series of previously released images alongside the teaser trailer of the show features the first appearance of Gordon Cormier as Aang the Avatar, as well as the sibling duo, Sokka and Katara, portrayed by Ian Ousley and Kiawentiio, respectively.  

Maria Zhang is also present as Suki, Zuko played by Dallas Liu, and Uncle Iroh by Paul Sun-Hyung Lee.  

And Daniel Dae Kim as Lord Ozai, Elizabeth Yu as Azula, and Ken Leung as Commander Zhao.
