Iron Maiden, the heavy metal band from London, has just announced that one of its former members, Paul Di'Anno, has passed away. Paul Di'Anno, known as the vocalist during the early formation of the band, died on October 21, 2024.

According to a statement from the label representing Paul Di'Anno, Conquest Music, the singer had been battling an illness for many years. His health condition worsened, and in recent years, he had to use a wheelchair to get around.

The passing of Paul Di'Anno leaves a deep sorrow for fans and his colleagues in the music world. His legacy as one of the iconic voices of the early Iron Maiden era will always be remembered by heavy metal fans around the world.

Paul Di'Anno's real name is Paul Andrews, born on May 17, 1958, in Chingford, Essex, England. He is a singer and songwriter who has been active from 1977 to 2024, and is widely known for his contributions to the legendary band Iron Maiden.

Paul Di'Anno joined Iron Maiden in 1978, when the band was still in the underground music scene. During his tenure, Paul Di'Anno played a role in the creation of the band's first two albums, namely IRON MAIDEN (1980) and KILLERS (1981).

However, he decided to leave the band in 1981. This decision was made due to various personal issues, including difficulties in keeping up with a busy schedule and health problems.

After leaving Iron Maiden, Paul formed a new band called Battlezone and got involved in several other projects.

He is also active in writing songs and engaging in collaborative and solo projects. Throughout his career, Paul Di'Anno has created many memorable works both with bands and as a solo artist.
