Kapanlagi.com - Founder and CEO of the Fashion Division Wulan S. Haryono accompanied by her lawyer Minola Sebayang made a clarification regarding allegations of committing public fraud when inviting Indonesian designers and brands to the Paris Fashion Show event held during Paris Fashion Week, some time ago.
"Regarding the negative rumors accusing Fashion Division or Wulan S. Haryono of committing fraud against the brands/designers by claiming that they would be included in the schedule of the Paris Fashion Week held by FHCM, is an untrue accusation," said Minola in Jakarta, on Friday (18/3/2022).
Minola also explained that Fashion Division, which was established in 2015, is an official company registered in France and Indonesia as a fashion show production and since 2017 has started offering programs for Asian designers who want to showcase their works in Paris through Fashion Show.
Fashion Division is also not affiliated with the Paris Fashion Week organizers, namely the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (FHCM).
"Fashion Division has never claimed or promoted itself as part of FHCM and has never said that the Paris Fashion Show it holds is part of the FHCM-organized Paris Fashion Week ON Schedule," she said.
Wulan S Haryono, even before the event, had already explained to the brand and designer she invited to Paris that they were invited to perform at the Paris Fashion Show, not at Paris Fashion Week.
"Even before the Fashion Show was held, Wulan S. Haryono as the founder of the Fashion Division had already provided education through a Youtube Webinar that explained that the Fashion Show held by the Fashion Division is Off Schedule and not organized by FHCM. So if there are parties who claim that the event they attended is part of Paris Fashion Week organized by FHCM, it is beyond the responsibility of the Fashion Division because from the beginning, the Fashion Division has explained the event," said Minola.
Minola also explained that FHCM allows the use of the name 'Paris Fashion Week', such as 'During Paris Fashion Week', 'At Paris Fashion Week', '#Parisfashionweek', and 'PFW'. However, tagging the @parisfashionweek and @fhcm accounts in Instagram posts, or using the official PFW logo is strictly prohibited.
"What is not allowed is to tag @Parisfashionweek, @FHCM, or use the official Paris Fashion Week logo," he said.

These claims offer a permanent contract for the « Egeriam » agency, an alleged creative agency of the Federation. They are mainly conveyed by profiles Charlotte Seguin and Violene La Borde on social media (Linkedin, Facebook.)," PFW wrote via Insta Story
"Federation de la Haute Couture et de la Mode and its Executive President have no connection whatsoever with these profiles, whose authenticity is questioned. If there are requests from Egeriam agency or Violene Laborde and Charlotte Seguin, we advise not to continue the conversation and to keep informing us," it added.
