Doni Salmanan Expresses Apology, Asks Public to Pray for Light Punishment

Kapanlagi.com - Suspect in the alleged fraud case disguised as a binary option through the Quotex platform, Doni Salmanan, apologized to the public for his actions. This was conveyed after the Bareskrim Polri held a press conference regarding the case he is facing.

"Today I want to apologize to all Indonesian people who are familiar with the trading world, whether it's binary options, forex, crypto, and so on. My hope is that the Indonesian people can forgive all my mistakes," he said on Tuesday (15/3).

In addition to asking for forgiveness, Doni Salmanan also hopes that the public can pray for him. He wants to be given a light sentence when his case is tried.

"Secondly, I also want to ask for your prayers, all Indonesian people, so that the sanctions against me can be lightened," he said.

As previously reported, Doni Salmanan ran into legal trouble after being reported by a person with the initials RA for alleged fraud under the guise of binary options through the Quotex platform. Doni himself was named a suspect in the fraud case on March 8, 2022, after being interrogated for more than 13 hours.

For his actions, Doni Salmanan is charged under Article 45 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 28 paragraph (1) of the ITE Law, Article 378 of the Criminal Code, and Article 3 of Law Number 8 of 2010 on the Prevention and Eradication of Money Laundering with a maximum prison sentence of 20 years.
