Refusing to be Labeled as a Metal Child, D'Masiv and Kangen Band Inspire Kevin Harsanto to Create the Song 'Sekedar Mengenangmu'

But behind all of that, Kevin Harsanto himself has actually been involved in the music industry for a long time. 11 years is not a short time for Kevin Harsanto to be involved in the music industry.

The man whose full name is Kevin Diaz Harsanto started his music career when he was 14 years old in Bali. At that time, he formed his first band with a Pop Punk genre, then switched to the Post Hardcore or Metalcore genre until he was 22 years old. However, only being popular in his hometown was not enough to satisfy Kevin's music career. He then moved to Jakarta and formed a band with a different genre, Emo.

Not stopping there, over time in 2022, Kevin finally dared to step out of his comfort zone. He started a solo career as a pop singer. The song Sekedar Mengenangmu is proof of Kevin's strong determination and courage to release his solo single.

Kevin himself is a big fan of bands such as D'Masiv, Kangen Band, Last Child, and Vierra, which became Kevin's inspiration in creating a work. According to him, all music genres are the same. As long as it's enjoyable to listen to, genre is not a barrier for a music lover.

"Any genre is fine as long as it sounds good to me," said Kevin in a press release received on Thursday (10/3).

2. Personal Experience

In the song 'Sekedar Mengenangmu' (Just Remembering You), Kevin admits that he does have a personal experience that led to the creation of the song, to enliven the music industry in the country.
