Emtek Group Officially Holds Broadcasting Rights, Will Broadcast All Live Matches of the 2022 World Cup on All Platforms

And the main holder of the broadcasting rights for this four-year event is none other than Elang Mahkota Teknologi (Emtek) Group. This official announcement was made during a press conference held at the SCTV Tower, 9th Floor, Senayan, South Jakarta (15/3/2022). 

As the broadcasting rights holder, Emtek will bring the matches of the 2022 Qatar World Cup through television stations such as Indosiar, SCTV, O Channel, Mentari TV, and Vidio live streaming. The latest news about the international tournament can also be obtained through news channels that are part of the Emtek Group. 

1. Proud

Managing Director of Emtek Group, Sutanto Hartono, told reporters that they are very proud to have been entrusted as the holder of the broadcasting rights for the 2022 World Cup. Moreover, this event is a new history in the World Cup arena.

"This year we proudly present the FIFA World Cup 2022," said Sutanto in his speech.

"A new history, because Qatar is the first Middle Eastern country to host the World Cup. The small time difference with Indonesia makes the broadcast time of the 2022 World Cup strategically located for Indonesia," Sutanto added.

This is not the first time that Emtek Group has been involved in major sports events both domestically and internationally. Previously, Emtek Group through its various business units has been trusted to broadcast live coverage of the Champions League, Olympics, Asian Games, and the BRI League 1 soccer tournament.

2. FIFA U-20 World Cup

As the holder of the broadcasting rights for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Emtek Group also has the opportunity to broadcast the FIFA U-20 World Cup live, which will be held in Indonesia in 2023. And of course, the host team will also participate in the tournament.

"What's special is that, in addition to the FIFA World Cup, Emtek also owns the broadcasting rights for the U-20 World Cup in 2023. This is interesting because Indonesia will also appear in this championship," said Sutanto.

3. 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar

The 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar will be attended by 32 countries from around the world. This match will be held in 8 venues that have been prepared by Qatar as the host team. This is a new history, because for the first time, the World Cup is held in an Arab country.

Unlike the previous edition held in the summer, FIFA deliberately shifted the 2022 World Cup to the end of the year. This is to reduce the impact of extreme heat in the Middle East.
