Timothee Chalamet, an actor born in New York City, United States on December 27, 1995, is known to have grown up in Manhattan with his family.   

Regarding his family, his mother is a former dancer and Broadway actress while his father works in UNICEF publishing. He has a sister named Pauline Chalamet who is also an actress and ballet dancer.

LaGuardia High School of Music, Art and Performing in New York City and after graduating from high school, he was also known to have applied to public universities at Columbia University and New York University. However, he ultimately decided to drop out to focus on acting.

Another interesting fact, Timothee Chalamet was confirmed to get the role of Willy Wonka without having to go through the audition process because Paul King, the director of the film, fell in love with his performance video in the theater during high school.
