Age Difference of 12 Years, Tyas Mirasih - Bastian Steel Build Love in the Soap Opera 'Butir Butir Pasir di Pantai'

This soap opera produced by Verona Pictures is an adaptation of a legendary radio drama that has been aired on RRI since the 1970s with thousands of episodes in total.

For the soap opera version, there are many adjustments, especially in terms of character development focusing on a doctor named Arini. However, the production team is very careful to ensure that the storyline does not deviate.

"We didn't adapt the radio drama script carelessly. We only took the character of a female doctor and developed the rest. Because the times have changed a lot, we only took the atmosphere and values. But we really emphasize the values of helping others in the script," said Titin Suryani, the producer, in a press conference at RRI, Medan Merdeka, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (6/4/2021).

1. Something New for Tyas Mirasih

Tyas Mirasih admitted to getting many new things when finally joining this soap opera. Besides being involved in an acting project based on a radio drama for the first time, the role of Dr. Arini that was assigned to her has never been played before.

"Here I play as Dr. Arini, this is something different because I have never had a role as a doctor before. And then, Arini has a love story with an age difference, I have also never taken a significant age difference love story. Hopefully people will accept it. There are also many other elements that must be watched," said Tyas on the same occasion.

2. Bastian Steel Assisted by Tyas Mirasih

The soap opera Butir-Butir Pasir di Laut, which will be aired on the streaming service We TV, also features Bastian Steel as the male lead named Radit. Although the role he took on was not easy because he loves an older woman, there were no obstacles because Tyas Mirasih also helped Bastian delve into the role.

"I was initially confused about building chemistry. But because Kak Tyas has played many roles, it made it easier for me," explained the guy who is familiarly called Babas.

"I have an interesting story, the first time I met Babas, he was still young and called me aunt. Now he calls me sister," Tyas recalled with a laugh.
