Anies Baswedan Announces Plan to Reopen Cinemas in DKI Jakarta, GPBSI Chairman Awaits Official Letter

Kapanlagi.com - Today, Wednesday (26/8), the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, announced plans to reopen cinemas. As is known, cinemas have been temporarily deactivated since the end of March in response to the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) implemented by the government.

In his statement, Anies Baswedan will still prepare comprehensive regulations regarding what needs to be implemented when cinemas resume operations. This includes online ticket purchases, wearing masks, age restrictions, and a ban on consuming food and drinks inside the studio.

Djonny Syafruddin, as the Chairman of the Indonesian Cinema Operators Association (GPBSI), welcomes the relaxation plan for cinema activities announced by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. They are just waiting for the arrival of the decree to be able to implement it.

"Currently, we are preparing to receive the decree and a number of regulatory directions that will be determined by the Central and Regional Governments regarding the resumption of operational activities," said Djonny as stated in the release received by KapanLagi.com.
