Arbani Yasiz Goes on a Strict Diet for 'RANAH 3 WARNA'

Kapanlagi.com - Arbani Yasiz feels that his role as Alif Fikri in the movie RANAH 3 WARNA is full of challenges. As a professional actor, he tries to meet those challenges. One of the challenges that caught his attention is losing weight up to five kilograms.

"The character Alif is supposed to look skinny because he faces a lot of life challenges. So, he has to look skinny and messy. Meanwhile, when I received this offer, I was enjoying my meals," explained Arbani with a smile while talking to reporters in Jakarta, not long ago.

Arbani admitted that he immediately started a strict diet. He made a total effort to portray a character that is well-known and loved by fans of Ahmad Fuadi's novel. However, unfortunately, Arbani got chickenpox while on the diet.

"My weight was 67 kilograms at that time. The target was to lose it to 62 kilograms. I started the diet, but then I got sick with chickenpox and had to rest and eat a lot. As a result, my weight immediately jumped to 69 kilograms. After recovering, I started the diet again and successfully reached 61 kilograms during filming," added Arbani at length.

In portraying the character of Alif, Arbani indeed conducted in-depth research. Because he is very confident that fans of Ahmad Fuadi's novel have high expectations for the inspiring character. 

Arbani tried to delve into the character of Alif during the reading and shooting process. He also admitted that he got to know more about the young man who always remembered the phrase 'Man Shabara Zhafira', which means roughly that those who are patient will be lucky. 

2. Have Their Own Perspective

"In my opinion, this character is taken from the novel. The readers surely have their own perspective on the character of Alif and others. Of course, everyone's perspective on the character of Alif and the story is different. So I'm just trying to follow the script so that the character of Alif can be accepted by them," said Arbani Yasiz. 

Scheduled to be released on June 25, 2020, the film RANAH 3 WARNA produced by MNC Pictures and starring Arbani Yasiz will be shown in theaters in the country.
