Assalamualaikum Calon Imam 2 Series Ready to Air, Director Promises More Interesting Storyline Than Previous Season

Starring Miller Khan and Mentari De Marelle, the series will premiere tomorrow, Friday (1/4/2022).

The director of the Assalamualaikum Calon Imam 2 series, Indra Gunawan, also promises a different and more interesting storyline. He admits that the filming process was also more challenging.

"In this series, I only give a mirror of myself, which is almost the same as Fisya's (Mentari De Marelle) who has just got married, has children, and the conflicts are the same," said Indra Gunawan in a press conference at CGV Grand Indonesia, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (31/3).

“I just give a mirror to the audience about a new family that still has one child with conflicts,” he continued.

Indra Gunawan also emphasized that this series will be close to everyday life. Not only that, the director also briefly discussed the process of making the series that took place during the covid-19 pandemic at the beginning of the year.

2. Family Film

“This is a family film, trying to show a better and harmonious family. The production (of the series) was during the peak of the pandemic and many takes were done in hospitals, it was nerve-wracking. That's why I said don't get infected (with covid-19), until the shooting ends everyone is healthy,” he said.

It is known that Assalamualaikum Calon Imam Season 2 also features several new actors such as Marthino Lio, Roy Sungkono, Rizky Alatas, and Indah Kusuma. Assalamualaikum Calon Imam Season 2 continues the love story between a beautiful student and her handsome professor in a new chapter of their lives as a young couple with various tests and in their journey of love in this season, it is also spiced up with hospital drama that touches on the harmony of marriage.
