Balpil Becomes the First Indonesian Animation Series to Introduce NFTs Through its Latest Episode, Affordable Price!

Kapanlagi.com - Balpil is the title of an animation created by Indonesian children that successfully captures the attention of film enthusiasts. This animation tells the story of an AI robot from the future who is assigned to accompany a group of children called Bhinnekaz to prevent the potential devastation of the Earth and humanity in World War III.

One of the animals that becomes an icon in the Balpil animation is named Momod, taken from the Indonesian Komodo animal. Holip Soekawan, the project director of the Balpil animation, briefly explained the origin of the animation.

"The idea and story of Balpil and the Bhinneka children started in 2011. I first sketched Momod and registered it with the Directorate General of Intellectual Property Rights in 2012. Hopefully, this original sketch will become a collectible item and its NFT will continue to increase in value," said Holip.

Balpil is currently on its 4th episode. The latest chapter, released on February 1, 2022, is the longest one yet as it introduces something different, where the main character will showcase his NFT collection, which can also be accessed on Opensea, the same marketplace as the viral figure, Ghozali Everyday's collection.

The trailer for the previous 4th episode was released earlier on Friday, (28/1). Netizens are highly anticipating the airing of the latest episode.

"This is cool, it's going to be a hit cartoon soon," wrote a netizen on Twitter.

Delon Tio as one of the Executive Producers of the Balpil animation hopes to receive support from the community. This is because the animation is not only entertaining but also provides educational value.

"Our hope is that the Indonesian community will support NFT creations from our own country. We need the support of all of you. The story of Balpil which carries the theme of balance and diversity, hopefully can become a domestic creation that brings positive value with a fun and futuristic packaging," he said.

Balpil is also the first Indonesian animation to provide NFTs, coinciding with the launch of its latest episode. The NFT prices are made affordable so that they can reach all of its fans.

"The planned price for Balpil NFTs is around Rp 70,000 and our team will still receive a 10 percent share of each sale," explained Holip Soekawan.
