Called Careless, the Producer of 'MERAH PUTIH ONE FOR ALL' is Actually Proud to Make an Animated Film

Kapanlagi.com - Although his work has received much criticism and is considered careless, the producer and director of MERAH PUTIH ONE FOR ALL, Endiarto, actually shows an extraordinary sense of pride. For him, being able to produce a film from nothing is an achievement that deserves appreciation.

Endiarto responds casually to the negative accusations. He emphasizes that this film was not made carelessly, but was designed according to the limited capabilities of the team.

"It's not careless. Because from the beginning I indeed, we think with our capabilities. We can't give more. But at least from the global perspective, oh we can see the essence like this and that," said Endiarto when met in the Kuningan area on Monday (11/8/2025).

He does not feel disappointed with public judgment because from the beginning he and his team were fully aware of their position. According to him, the story would be different if this project were supported by a large corporation with abundant funding.

"Disappointed? Not really, because we knew from the start. We know. Unless we were a big corporation, then we produced something like this, that would be different," he said.

1. Not Ashamed

Instead of feeling ashamed, Endiarto considers his team's achievements as something extraordinary. He challenges the perception of those who might be surprised by his pride.

"But this is extraordinary. We are extraordinary. Even though people say, 'Why are you proud?' How can we not be proud? We are nothing, but we can produce something like this," he explained.

He emphasizes that his team never intended to boast. The pride he feels is purely because they have succeeded in making a real contribution to celebrate Indonesia's independence.

"We are not boasting. From the beginning, we are not boasting. But this is our contribution. This is our contribution. For what? We are not promoting," he elaborated.

2. Disturbed by Inaccurate Reporting

The feeling of disturbance actually arises from inaccurate reporting, especially regarding the budget of Rp 6.7 billion. He regrets that this information could be published without any prior verification process with his party.

"Of course it's disturbing, but what can we do? It has already been published. It's just that their information is not quite right. In journalism, there should be rechecks and rechecks," he explained.
