According to Endiarto, his presence and the team are to initiate a movement so that the celebration of independence is not only festive on land but also on the big screen. He imagines how vibrant it would be if every year there were several new films released simultaneously in theaters to celebrate the proclamation.
"So we are triggering this year to inspire ideas for our friends. Perhaps those in the field of advanced animation films, come on next year let's make it lively, create 5, 6, 10 films to be shown in theaters," said Endiarto in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, Tuesday (12/8/2025).
He feels that the cinema platform has great power to spread the spirit of nationalism to the wider community. Therefore, he invites filmmakers not to hesitate to fill the screening slots during important moments such as Independence Day
"So that by August 17th it will really be festive, you know. Because this cinema platform is what, uh, a platform that has been highly anticipated by many people, including myself who enjoys watching movies," he explained.
Endiarto is aware that his work may be far from perfect, but he believes that the moral message and good intentions behind it have been conveyed. For him, the numerous comments, both positive and negative, are proof that his film has succeeded in sparking discussion within the community.
"It means that many comments regardless of whether they are pro or con, that means the moral message we raised in Merah Putih One for All has reached. Not to the children yet, but it has reached a wider audience," he said.
In the end, he invited the entire community to participate in this celebration in their own ways. For his team, the contribution was manifested through film, and for the community, the contribution could be as simple as watching and appreciating the works of the nation's children.
"Let’s make this lively, our contribution is making films, XXI's contribution is providing the screen, the community's contribution is watching. Watching means celebrating this independence together with us," concluded Endiarto.
