Kapanlagi.com - Success with KUKIRA KAU RUMAH, young director Umay Shahab greets the audience again with his second film titled KETIKA BERHENTI DI SINI. Unlike his previous work, this time Umay plays with the science fiction genre.
There are augmented reality technology glasses presented in the film. Although the technology is fictional, the creation process is very serious.
"We took one year to research how these glasses could be brought to life in the form of a cutting-edge device. We created sample glasses, determined the rules, and how long the battery could last. So it's like creating real technology glasses," said Umay Shahab, interviewed in the Salihara area, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (12/7/2023).

To create augmented reality glasses, Pilly Latuconsina, as the executive producer of WHEN IT STOPS HERE, asked for help from her friend Umay Shabab, who is studying Artificial Intelligence (AI). Umay is the one who designed the glasses to make them look convincing.
"These glasses are fictional, made specifically for this film. We made them seriously with the help of someone studying AI in Taiwan. The universe has been very supportive recently as technology brands emerge with concepts like this. Apparently, technological advancements can make things real. What will happen in ten years?" said Prilly on the same occasion.

It took one year for research and the creation of the glasses before moving on to scriptwriting and casting. Umay Shahab admitted that if it weren't for Prilly Latuconsina, Bryan Domani, and Refal Hady, who appeared in his mind when developing the project WHEN IT STOPS HERE for the first time.
"After the glasses were finished, the casting process was quite challenging because they were not the ones I had in mind at that time. Looking at the results now, God indeed has His own way beyond what I expected," said Umay.
