Devano Not Only Plays a Role in 'Rumah Singgah', But Also Becomes the Soundtrack Singer

"From the beginning of our reading, coincidentally our producer and director really wanted Surat Hati to be in this film, and I am also very happy because Surat Hati is the song that turns out to have the most streams on Spotify," said Devano on Wednesday (19/8/2026).

After the shooting process was completed, the choice of song felt increasingly appropriate. Surat Hati was considered very relatable and provided a strong emotional effect in several key scenes of Rumah Singgah.

1. Letter of the Heart Accompanying the Transit House

The Letter of the Heart is certainly present as a companion to the story in the Transit House. This song is a work by Devano, who currently holds the record for the highest number of streams on his Spotify platform.

The desire to include the Letter of the Heart emerged during the reading session. The producer and director requested that the song be part of the film, in line with the emotional atmosphere built in the story.

Once the entire production process was completed, the suitability became even more apparent. This song proved to blend seamlessly with key moments, providing the depth of feeling needed in the scenes of the Transit House.

2. Character Luki and the Lessons Brought by Devano

In addition to his contributions to music, Devano plays a central role as Luki. In the story, Luki is a musician who suffers from blood cancer and resides in a transit house while undergoing treatment.

The character of Luki is portrayed as warm, caring, and striving to bring happiness to those around him. This role has become an experience that encourages the maturation of Devano's acting skills.

"What I learned is, once again, the smile that never fades even though the conditions are very unlikely to make us smile. That is actually the first point," said Devano.
