The horror film directed by Kimo Stamboel will be released in America and many other countries with the international title DANCING VILLAGE: THE CURSE BEGINS. For distribution outside of Southeast Asia, MD Pictures has partnered with Lionsgate, a leading entertainment company in the world.

"Lionsgate will distribute the film BADARAWUHI DI DESA PENARI in America. On April 4, we will hold a premiere in Los Angeles and after that Lionsgate will distribute this film in several countries. Interestingly, it was Lionsgate who offered to distribute BADARAWUHI DI DESA PENARI in America and other countries such as the Netherlands, India, Pakistan, and Hong Kong. The success of KKN DI DESA PENARI made them think that Indonesian film productions are worthy of being shown to the world.

"I see what MD Pictures and the film industry in Indonesia have accomplished, growing rapidly, even with a growing number of viewers. The success of KKN DI DESA PENARI surprised us and we were excited to learn that MD will release BADARAWUHI. 2. First Step for Indonesia

Geobert Abboud feels that BADARAWUHI DI DESA PENARI is the right film to be shown internationally. He hopes that this initial step will continue to lead to the production of other films.
