Ready to be shown in theaters, '1 CM' is believed to be the answer to the lack of educational-themed films for the younger generation in Indonesia

Kapanlagi.com - The Indonesian film industry is once again adorned with a new film titled '1 CM'. The film features 32 talented young children from North Sumatra.

The film, directed by Dedy Siregar, contains a high moral message and nationalism. Therefore, Dedy Siregar revealed that the film 1 CM is a response to the lack of educational films for the younger generation in Indonesia.

"Through this film, we strive to educate and provide lessons in an enjoyable way. It contains messages of nationalism and the need to limit cellphone usage among children," said Dedy during the gala premiere of the film 1 CM at Epicentrum XXI, South Jakarta, on Saturday (9/3) afternoon.

When asked further, Dedy explained that the cast members are talented students from North Sumatra. Despite being beginners, Dedy is confident that the enthusiasm and dedication of the actors in portraying their characters will capture attention.

"There are 32 children involved. The process involved setting up an agency in Medan, and even quarantining some orphaned children until they were ready," he said.

1. Challenges During Filming

On the same occasion, Rathan Diaz, one of the actors who portrayed General Dirga in this film, explained the challenges he faced during the shooting process. Meanwhile, another cast member, Ovellia Angeline, also shared her interesting experiences during filming.

"We filmed in different locations. Some had cold weather, sometimes hindered by rain. It was an exciting experience for me. Fortunately, we were all enthusiastic, so we were able to overcome any obstacles during the film production," said Diaz.

"The filming journey was fun, and there were also experiences. Being bitten by mosquitoes in the middle of the forest, dealing with hot and rainy weather," added Ovellia Angeline.

In addition, Director of Ideology, Character, and National Insight Development from the Ministry of Home Affairs, DRS Drajat Wisnu Setyawan, MM, added that his support in this film will encourage more appreciation for those involved in the '1 CM' film production process.

"We will promote it by issuing a circular letter to Regional Heads (Governors, Regents, and Mayors) to appreciate and encourage them to watch this film because it is full of nationalistic values and national insight, especially for the young generation of Indonesia," he concluded.
