Kapanlagi.com - During Eid, the film BADARAWUHI DI DESA PENARI will not only be shown in regular cinemas. Producer Manoj Punjabi has specially prepared it to be viewed in IMAX format.
Interestingly, the use of this format is not just for obtaining the experience through digital re-mastering. Instead, it was shot using an IMAX camera from the beginning.
"I don't want the IMAX to be the result of conversion. There is nothing special about converting. I want it to be made with an IMAX camera. Making it the first film in Southeast Asia to be made with an IMAX camera," said Manoj when met at Gandaria City, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (6/3/2024).
Manoj Punjabi said that since reading the script, he had imagined how exciting it would be if the film BADARAWUHI DI DESA PENARI was shot using IMAX-certified digital cameras. That's why, several months before starting the shooting process, Manoj came to the IMAX office in California to learn.
"Before shooting in October, six months earlier, I went to IMAX Headquarters. When I arrived at the IMAX studio, I saw their demo. I learned that making a film with IMAX is not something trivial, maybe (only allowed) four or five films per year. In terms of cameras, they have to be IMAX-certified," explained Manoj.
BADARAWUHI DI DESA PENARI is ready to be screened on April 10, 2024, in cinemas throughout Indonesia. This film, which is a prequel to KKN DI DESA PENARI, stars Aulia Sarah, Maudy Effrosina, Claresta Taufan, and many others.
