The ghost is not just a pocong, tuyul, or kuntilanak. Therefore, through this film, Aenigma Pictures wants to provide a new understanding to the audience about the figure of Kuyang and mystical beliefs in Kalimantan.

This film is adapted from the bestselling novel by Achmad Benbela. Yongki Ongestu is appointed as the director. He has explored the myths, beliefs, and culture of Kalimantan in order to present a real and chilling story in the film KUYANG: THE DEVIL'S ALLY THAT IS ALWAYS LURKING.

2. Brief Synopsis

In this film, Dimas Aditya and Alyssa Abidin portray the main characters involved in a chilling story. Bimo (Dimas Aditya), a prospective Civil Servant (PNS), is transferred to a remote village with his wife, Sriatun (Alyssa Abidin). Sriatun refuses to live with Bimo's parents in Java and chooses to accompany her husband to the village.

This film is scheduled to be released in theaters on March 7, 2024.
