Diving into the Role of Co-Producer for a Short Film, Singer Christie Introduces Adhisty Zara to Abidzar Al Ghifari

Kapanlagi.com - Do you need talent to work in the entertainment industry, KLovers? Just like the new singer Christie, who's trying her hand at being a co-producer for a short film titled HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. The ten-minute film is an extension of her hit single, Walau Ku Jauh.

Christie's interest in working behind the scenes began after she debuted as a singer. However, she already had some basic knowledge from her internship in the production department of the A&R label 88 Rising. It seems that artistic souls are always drawn to the industry.

"Last year, Christie debuted as a singer. Gradually, she became interested in the process behind the scenes, and being a co-producer is a new experience for her. She's happy to have been given this extraordinary opportunity to be involved in production," said Christie at a press conference at CGV FX Sudirman, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (10/3/2022).

1. Assisted by Famous Producer

Christie's involvement in the production of the short film HAPPY ANNIVERSARY was not without the help of famous producer Wicky V Olindo. So when she needed help, the Hawaii-born woman immediately invited Wicky to discuss. nan

"I'm so happy to be involved in the brainstorming process before production. During the process, if I'm unsure, I ask Mr. Wicky because this is a new experience," explained Christie Sutanto.

2. Bringing Adhisty Zara and Abidzar Together

In the short film HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, two rising young stars are brought together. They are Adhisty Zara, who plays the character Tari, and Abidzar Al Ghifari, who plays the character Darwin. This is what KLovers have been waiting for, right?

"When it was being developed, the term happy anniversary usually refers to teenage dating where everything is still counted. Because it's for teenagers, who is the best actor who can touch people's emotions in ten minutes? Yes, Zara. She's always good," said Wicky V Olindo.

"And Abi recently surprised Indonesian entertainment in a series. He's really cool, he's very natural, and if a new actor can be that natural in the early title, then his talent is crazy," added the producer from the production house Screenplay Films.

3. More Surreal

Because this is a film developed from Christie's single hit, in interpreting the lyrics of the song Walau Ku Jauh, Christie and Wicky V Olindo agreed to take the theme of space and time. Even so, their approach was made more surreal.

"The lyrics of this song talk about distance and time. Finally, we looked for a story that was not too mainstream, we made it more surreal. In terms of storytelling, we also dared to move forward and backward. Because we want to be closer to that distance and time, it is depicted in a surreal way," Wicky concluded.
