Fedi Nuril initially thought Baim Wong had a relaxed directing style because he often pranks on his YouTube account. It turns out that this is 180 degrees different on the shooting location.

"So, back then, when I saw Baim's content that liked to prank, it really wasn't my taste because it seemed really silly. When talking about movies, it's surprising. His voice, his idealism, I really didn't expect that. And when I saw Lembayung and everything, wow, he really made this," said Fedi Nuril.

The 40-year-old man had previously shot together in a film before working with Baim in the film SUKMA. He referred to Baim as an idealistic figure when it comes to films.

"And before shooting Sukma, we had shot one film together, and that’s where we started talking, and for the film, it felt very different, the idealism was palpable. Until finally shooting together, I remember the first day I shot. He came to the set, he looked at the script, he was daydreaming, looking around, 'Okay, I've got it. Later you A, B, C, D.' It's really unexpected, for the film he truly has taste, he has idealism. So that's why we just wanted to collaborate," Fedi Nuril continued.

Fedi Nuril's words received a response from Baim Wong. The father of two admitted that he is a perfectionist. Baim also mentioned that his first film provided him with a lot of valuable experience.

"For me, as a director, I start from the beginning, from scratch to finish. It's too much for me because I'm really a perfectionist. How to make the script amazing. Previously, in the film Lembayung, I had 105 - 110 scenes, and that could last 3 or 4 hours. Now I only need 80 to have something like that. So, that’s the experience, right?" said Baim.

Lastly, Baim mentioned that he does not force himself to be accepted by the actors and actresses he works with, including Fedi Nuril.

"Fortunately, I am an actor too, I don't force myself to be accepted by him (Fedi Nuril). On the contrary. I have to adjust to him so that he feels comfortable on set. So that they are just happy on set, like playing but good," he concluded.
