Kapanlagi.com - Jakarta – The animated film 'Merah Putih: One For All' which will be released on August 14, 2025, continues to be a hot topic in the community, especially regarding its production costs. Although there were rumors that the film had a fantastic budget of up to Rp 6.7 billion, director and executive producer, Endiarto, provided clarification.
This is because the film is entirely driven by the spirit of mutual cooperation and contributions from each team member. According to Endiarto, from the beginning, this project was never started with discussions about figures or budgets. Therefore, he feels it is unethical to ask how much has been spent by his colleagues, such as animators or the distribution team.

The public's curiosity about the production costs of the film MERAH PUTIH ONE FOR ALL has finally been answered. Endiarto, the executive producer of the film Merah Putih One for All, emphasized that there is no specific figure he can mention regarding the total expenses incurred. Endiarto explained that the film project "Merah Putih: One For All" is not a commercial project based on a fixed budget.
"So we don't determine how much. So I can't possibly dare to ask the animator, 'Sir, how much did it cost?' or he asks me, 'Mr. Pendi, how much did it cost for the DCP?' I would ask, 'Why? Do you want to reimburse?" Endiarto explained when met in the Kuningan area of South Jakarta on Tuesday (12/8/2025).

He analogized this situation to a community service event, where everyone contributes according to their abilities without calculating profit and loss. According to him, asking for detailed expenses in the context of mutual cooperation would feel very awkward and out of place.
"Do you really want to ask about the costs? We have already agreed. Whoever wants to take part, in what field, please do. Distribution, sir, I send a letter to manage this, to go here and there, if he is willing to do that, then fine, there is no transport," he explained.
Even for simple things like meals during production, everything is done alternately and voluntarily. He shared how his team supports each other to ensure basic needs are met.
"Like eating, we take turns eating. Because it's not possible for us to work until night, snacks, drinks, and so on, we take turns. Even when we had nothing, we just stayed silent. Maybe because we were just not there at that time," he reminisced.
Thus, Endiarto once again emphasized that this project is purely driven by sincere intentions. There are no detailed financial records because there has never been a centralized budget allocated for this film.
"So there are no numerical records, Sir? No numerical records, because from the beginning we did not start with numbers. But started with each person's heartfelt intentions, which I wanted to invite," he concluded.
However, Endiarto stressed that the production process started in August 2024, with post-production in May 2025, refuting claims of work being done in less than a month. This shows that the film is being worked on seriously despite the lack of a clear budget.
What is the production cost of the film 'Merah Putih: One For All'? The producer denies the production cost of Rp 6.7 billion and states that there are no records of exact figures.
What is the concept behind the production of this film? This film is a non-commercial project that is undertaken collaboratively.
Does this film receive funding from the government? The producer refers to the allegation of Rp 6.7 billion in funding from the government as a vile slander.
When will the film 'Merah Putih: One For All' be released? This film is scheduled to be released on August 14, 2025.
