Film RED WHITE ONE FOR ALL Criticized, Producer: They Don't Know the Real Story Yet

Kapanlagi.com - Since its debut, the animated film RED WHITE ONE FOR ALL has faced various criticisms from netizens. Many have pointed out the animation quality and other accusations circulating on social media.

In response to the wave of criticism, Endiarto, the executive producer of the film RED WHITE ONE FOR ALL, chose to remain calm and share his perspective.

According to Endiarto, the criticism mainly arises because the public is unaware of the process and spirit behind the making of this film. He believes that many comments stem from shallow snippets of information, such as tweets on social media.

"Criticism comes because they don't know and only see the surface. Those tweets. They don't know yet," said Endiarto when met in the Kuningan area of South Jakarta on Tuesday (12/8/2025).

1. No Budget

He then explained that this film was born from a collaborative project that did not rely on large funds. Endiarto emphasized that there is no fantastic budget as many people imagine, but rather a pure spirit to create. In fact, he referred to this project as a "thank you project".

"First, we are a collaborative project. Because there is no funding, there is no budget. When asked what the budget is, the budget is nonexistent, the budget is spirit. Earlier I mentioned, 'Hey, do you want to do this, do you want to do this?' This, this, this. A thank you project, as some media friends who interviewed us said," he explained.

Endiarto added that the collaboration he meant is not in the form of money, but rather the contribution of skills from each individual involved. Anyone who wants to join is invited to give effort according to their abilities, ranging from animation, management, to communication.

"So it’s a collaborative nature and this collaboration is not about money, but effort. What is your skill? Animation. Your skill is film management, your ability to manage this, communication, this this this this, come on, do you want to?" he said.

2. Not Everyone Wants to Collaborate

Even so, Endiarto acknowledges that not everyone can accept this concept, especially those who are material-oriented. He also shared his experience when approaching several professionals who ultimately backed out because they expected payment.

"That's it. Some definitely won't want to, because there are some friends who are indeed materialistic by nature. Okay, how much? That's it. We meet with a music arranger, a music expert, I thought he was great," he said.

"When, 'Come on, let's do it, we do this and that.' 'Yeah, but it requires a lot of money.' Huh? We already talked about it from the start but in the end, there is that value, well, let's just stay silent, let's just look for that. Because this is a collaboration," he concluded.
