For the Film 'LINTRIK', Meisya Amira Observes the Life of a Sex Worker

Initially, Meisya wanted to delve into Rini's character by visiting several locations in Jakarta. However, the production team did not grant permission. Instead, she was directed to conduct observations in Banyuwangi, the original location of the film Lintrik.

"I was only not allowed with the production team. I was told to observe in Banyuwangi instead and eventually met up. I talked to this female sex worker. We discussed many things so that I could understand her behavior," Meisya explained.

From that meeting, Meisya admitted to gaining many life lessons that she had never imagined before. She realized that everyone has their own reasons for ultimately choosing a certain path in life.

"Yes, honestly it is really hard to be a sex worker, because it is different from who I am. But every sex worker has their reasons for why they want to do that," she added.

Not only delving into gestures and behaviors, Meisya also admitted that the experience made her more careful in judging others.

"I feel that we shouldn't judge someone just by their appearance. Because they choose to be a sex worker due to their life background," she said.

In addition to providing valuable experiences, the film Lintrik: Ilmu Pemikat also delivers a strong moral message. "The main point is that family is always there for us, as a reminder of where we are. We must have strong faith, we can't mess around, remember family," Meisya expressed.

The film Lintrik: Ilmu Pemikat directed by Irham Acho Bahtiar highlights the local culture of Banyuwangi with a touch of psychological horror and mystery. Starring Meisya Amira, Donny Damara, Yatti Surachman, Fannita Posumah, and Teguh Ryder, this film will be released in cinemas across Indonesia starting September 11, 2025.
