Gemi Nastiti Debuts as a Ghost in the Horror Film 'DEVIL'S AGREEMENT', A Story of a Terrifying Experience on Set

Kapanlagi.com - For the first time, artist Gemi Nastiti plays in a horror film titled DEVIL'S AGREEMENT. In the film, Gemi portrays a character named Dianti who later becomes a ghost.

"Yes, that's right, this is my first time acting in a horror film and my first time being a ghost," said Gemi Nastiti at XXI Epicentrum Kuningan, South Jakarta, Friday (30/8/2024).

During the shooting process, Gemi experienced quite a tense situation. She recounted, "So the incident I can say was a possession, I was fully made up as Dianti who becomes the ghost and I was waiting for my take."

She admitted to feeling uncomfortable because the makeup made her feel slimy, smelly, and wet. At night during the shoot, Gemi was alone and felt nauseous and dizzy. One of the crew members who saw her condition immediately asked, 'What's wrong, dear?' When Gemi explained her condition, the crew member revealed that there was a creature near the tree where Gemi was sitting, which resembled the makeup of the burned ghost Dianti.

Gemi feels lucky because the crew helped him, and after receiving assistance, his condition returned to normal. This experience lasted not long, only about half an hour, but it was enough to make him feel nauseous and dizzy.

With the film DEVIL'S CONTRACT set to premiere in theaters on September 5, 2024, Gemi expressed his feelings. "I'm quite nervous about how it will be to watch it and waiting for the results," he said. This anxiety is part of the process he has to go through leading up to the film's release.

When asked if his role as a ghost scares him, Gemi replied, "There is a sense of fear, but I use it as an emotion for the ghost character Dianti." He explained that his fear is utilized as part of the character he plays, to add a frightening element to the film.

2. New Challenges

As her debut in the horror genre, this role presents a new challenge for Gemi Nastiti. With support from the crew and the experience gained during filming, she hopes this film will be well-received by the audience and leave a deep impression.

The film THE DEVIL'S AGREEMENT, produced by Multi Platinum Screen Pictures, is directed by Farid Dermawan. In this film, Callista Arum plays Kartini, Kenny Austin plays Ivan, Gemi Nastiti plays Diyanti, Jessica Shania plays Citra, and TJ Ruth plays Bu Asih.

THE DEVIL'S AGREEMENT follows the story of Kartini, who moves to Jakarta to study and has to live in a cheap boarding house due to financial constraints. During her stay there, Kartini often faces ghostly terror.
