The horror-comedy film KANG MAK has successfully surpassed three million viewers after twelve days in theaters. Besides the male actors' performances that elicited laughter, Marsha Timothy's portrayal of a ghost character named Sari also captured attention.
On social media, many praises were directed at Marsha when she had to act in various strange costumes, one of which was a mermaid costume. Netizens were surprised that the wife of Vino G Bastian was so committed to her work.
Met at Cijantung XXI, East Jakarta, Thursday (29/8), Marsha Timothy claimed she was trapped when she had to perform a scene in a mermaid costume.
Indeed, there is an explanation about that in the script, but she didn't expect that the director and crew would actually realize what was written.
"When offered, I immediately said yes because it was indeed in the script. I just couldn't imagine, in the script it was described by Makmur, but there was a visualization. When wearing the first costume, the crew was all excited, and when changing clothes, it got even more chaotic. I had already surrendered. That was all the crew's improvisation and (the) makeup team, hahaha," said Marsha.
Vino G Bastian and Tora Sudiro were surprised when watching the scene with many costumes. Because at the time of filming, they were not on location, and only Marsha Timothy was doing the shooting at that time.
"It's really funny, because none of us knew she was shooting that scene. When we watched it in the cinema, seeing Marsha Timothy dressed up like that, it was a disaster," Tora said when met at the same place.
"No one was shooting that day," Marsha clarified. Vino G Bastian playfully uploaded a photo of the scene when Marsha Timothy wore various strange costumes on his Instagram account. However, the deliberate omission of the photo where she wore the mermaid costume sparked various curiosities.
"I got photos of Marsha from Tora and I posted them. It was really busy," said Vino.
Marsha added, "There are no mermaid photos, and then they asked for it."
This romantic comedy drakor will start airing on MBN on August 2, 2024. It tells the story of an individual who has the ability to erase bad memories.
