Being an Actor and Director in the Horror Comedy 'SEKAWAN LIMO', Bayu Skak Faces Difficulties Shooting in Nature - Hindered by Weather

Kapanlagi.com - After the success of the Malang-language film series titled YOWIS BEN, Bayu Skak is back with SEKAWAN LIMO. However, this time it is not a comedy drama genre, but a horror comedy.

In this film, Bayu once again serves as the director and lead actor. He tries to fulfill both roles to the best of his ability.

"I am both the director and the actor. When acting, I focus on delivering my role well, and when directing, I focus on delivering the story well," said Bayu when met at Epicentrum XXI, Rasuna Said area, South Jakarta, on Thursday (27/6).

1. Challenges of Shooting in Nature

The challenging part for Bayu Skak when making the film SEKAWAN LIMO was using natural settings for the locations. It was difficult because the weather conditions could not be predicted.

"It's something very complicated to shoot in nature. Not only me, but also other friends surely experience something new. The difficulty lies in the high rainfall and all sorts of things," said Bayu.

2. The Importance of Making Films in Regional Languages

Chand Parwez, as the producer, admitted to falling in love immediately when reading the synopsis of SEKAWAN LIMO. Moreover, together with Bayu Skak, he once again made a film in Javanese. According to him, it is important to make films in regional languages.

"I was once considered crazy for making the film YOWIS BEN, and it turned out that I am not crazy because it inspired the birth of many films in regional languages. We have many regional languages, but they are gradually disappearing even though they are our wealth, something important to continuously present," said Chand Parwez on the same occasion.
