Kapanlagi.com - Producer Manoj Punjabi announced that the film KKN DI DESA PENARI 2: BADARAWUHI has entered the pre-production process. If there are no schedule changes, filming is ready to be conducted in the last week of October.
As known, Awi Suryadi is no longer serving as the director of the all-time best-selling Indonesian film sequel. Manoj then chose Kimo Stamboel to sit in the director's chair because he wanted to bring a new color.

The plot of the movie KKN DI DESA PENARI 2: BADARAWUHI is based on a new informant obtained by SimpleMan. Manoj Punjabi was interested in the material and agreed to make the film.
"Simpleman has an informant and it makes the story interesting. There will be an explanation of who the informant is, and it will be told in the film. It's not opportunistic because his first film was successful, but the audience already enjoys the story and the characters," explained Manoj.
2. Reasons Why Awi Suryadi Didn't Direct
In a separate occasion, Awi Suryadi explained the reasons why he didn't direct KKN DI DESA PENARI 2: BADARAWUHI. Apparently, it's because he no longer believes that the story in this sequel is something real.
"I didn't direct KKN 2 because I don't believe it. I believed KKN 1 because it was a true story, but KKN 2, hmm, I don't think so," said Awi when met in Senayan, Central Jakarta, last Saturday.
