Proud, Reza Rahardian and Laura Basuki's Latest Film Participates in the Busan International Film Festival 2023

Kapanlagi.com - Reza Rahadian and Laura Basuki are so happy because the film they starred in participates in the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) 2023. It is known that the film starring both of them is titled 24 HOURS WITH GASPAR.

When met in a press conference at the Ministry of Education and Culture, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (2/10), Reza said that there is a sense of pride when Indonesian films participate in prestigious international competitions. He considers this as happy news for the Indonesian film industry.

"Of course, we are happy, and this year, as mentioned earlier, Busan gives great recognition to Indonesian films, which is a source of pride and participation in the film 24 HOURS WITH GASPAR in the competition is not easy. Hopefully, it brings happiness not only to us involved but also to the Indonesian film industry, the answer is definitely happy," said Reza Rahadian.

On the same occasion, Laura Basuki also gave a similar response to her co-star. It is a pleasure for Laura to be able to celebrate the film she starred in abroad.

"If it were me, I would be very happy too. Because at first, when I received this project, it was simple because I wanted to work together with Anggi Noen and work together with Reza, so when this film received more appreciation, I was very happy to be able to celebrate this film together in Busan," said Laura Basuki.

In addition, Reza Rahadian added that what they want to see is the audience's reaction when watching this latest film. Unlike Reza, for Laura Basuki, being able to participate in a film festival is something enjoyable because she will gain a new perspective in the film industry.

"Definitely seeing the audience's reaction, for sure. Because we have various sessions, so seeing their response, we can talk to the audience. Of course, maybe for all of us, the 128 people who will depart, hopefully, it will also open networks, this is an opportunity to meet new people, build new networks," said Reza.

"I'm always excited every time I come to an international film festival because I can see a new perspective from the film lovers later on. And if I can find time to watch Indonesian films there," concluded Laura Basuki.
