"We involved a lot of discussions, supervision, from those who understand how to work with orangutans. We are very careful in protecting and taking care of the individual orangutans that need to be protected, but at the same time, it is important to give them a voice," said Riri, met in the Rasuna Said area, South Jakarta, on Monday (25/9/2023).

In one scene of releasing orangutans into the forest, Riri Riza, who also acts as the director, prepares everything carefully. So that everything is done only once and there is no repetition.
"The scene of releasing orangutans in this film is only taken once and it is not possible to have a second take. Everything is prepared in great detail so that there is no risk to the orangutans. We maintain the authenticity," said Riri.
Riri Riza ensures that all animals involved in this film are based on official permits and supervision. Not only orangutans, but also cats.
"And all the animals seen in this film are licensed, not illegal. Including cats. We use substitutes that are not risky for the cats," said Riri Riza firmly.
