Main Film 'JUSTICE (THE VERDICT)', Elang El Gibran & Rangga Nattra Experience 'Fun' Shooting

Being involved in the Korean adaptation film project, JUSTICE (THE VERDICT), has been an unforgettable experience for its actors. Elang El Gibran and Rangga Nattra, two of the many stars in this film, even have a unique term to describe their shooting process: "fun" but "crazy".

This term came up when they described the characters they portray. Elang El Gibran, who plays Dika, describes his character as a manipulative antagonist who is ready to do anything for his own interests.

"I'm a jerk. Who's a jerk? He's evil. Everything can be bought with money," said Elang during a conversation at MD Place, Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Monday (20/10/2025).

Interestingly, the jerkiness of this character actually becomes an experience he enjoys. He feels he can explore another side of himself that he has never shown before.

"Thank God I'm in a pampering environment," he joked. "Enjoying being a jerk," added Rangga Nattra.

This jerk experience is not only felt from the character's side but also from the shooting method applied by Korean director Lee Chang Hee. The actors are required to always be ready with fluctuating emotions, as the director often requests scenes randomly according to his needs.

"If his shooting needs are already edited, then suddenly he requests, I want you to shoot this only with your eyes. So our emotions are already here," explained Rangga.

Although it was initially shocking, this crazy method actually made the shooting process more efficient and faster. The actors felt more challenged and could go home earlier. "When we were in the middle of shooting, oh it was comfortable. It’s really nice to be an actor," said Rangga.

The combination of a challenging antagonist character with an unconventional shooting process created a memorable crazy experience that they will never forget. The film KEADILAN (THE VERDICT) is scheduled to be released in theaters starting November 20, 2025.
