Kapanlagi.com - MD Pictures once again presents an adaptation of the viral story Elizasifaa through the latest film LA TAHZAN: LOVE, SIN, WOUND.... After the success of IPAR ADALAH MAUT, this film is touted to present a more complex and profound conflict.
Unlike its predecessor, LA TAHZAN: LOVE, SIN, WOUND... has a longer duration, approximately 2 hours and 25 minutes. This is due to the thickness of the script and the many scenes deemed important to retain.
"As of now, it's at least 2 hours and 20 minutes. It could be around 2 hours and 25 minutes, and that's long. I really can't cut any more content," said Manoj Punjabi when met at MD Place, Kuningan.
Deva Mahenra, the male lead, also admitted to being surprised by the length of the script for this film. He even had to change his glasses after reading the entire screenplay.
"Right after I finished reading the script, I went straight to the optician to change my glasses because my myopia got worse. The script is really thick," said Deva.
This film not only presents a domestic drama that drains emotions but also incorporates comedic elements brought by several supporting characters. According to Manoj, the comedic atmosphere this time is very different from previous films.
"I think the comedic atmosphere is very different. It’s handled by Hanung. The drama is the same, but in the ending, we will get a different vibe," explained Manoj.
In this film, Marshanda plays the character Alina, a religious wife and mother. Meanwhile, Ariel Tatum portrays Asih, a babysitter who gradually shakes the household of her employer. This film is crafted with a strong emotional and visual approach.
The process of bringing together the three main actors was also quite challenging. However, Manoj expressed his gratitude because everyone was enthusiastic and immediately interested upon hearing the film's story idea.
"Thank God they are all excited. So it made things easier. Sometimes if the script is interesting, the actors get excited," Manoj stated.
Ariel Tatum also shared her personal impressions after reading the script. She felt nervous and couldn't wait to see the audience's reactions when the film is released later.
"Taking a deep breath, feeling nervous, definitely excited... But honestly, it exceeded my personal expectations too," said Ariel.
This film will start screening in cinemas across Indonesia on August 14, 2025. Manoj hopes this moment will be the right time, considering there are no major competitors from Hollywood and the long holiday approaching Independence Day.
