Official Poster and Trailer for 'MENJELANG AJAL' Released, Coming Soon to Theaters on April 30, 2024

Kapanlagi.com - Rapi Films has finally released the official trailer and poster for the film MENJELANG AJAL through its official social media account. The horror film directed by Hadrah Daeng Ratu is scheduled to be released in theaters nationwide starting from April 30, 2024.

MENJELANG AJAL tells the story of a mother named Sekar who tries to support her three children alone by opening a food stall. Lately, she has been troubled because her food always goes bad shortly after being served. Sekar goes to see Mak Ambar, a shaman who placed a 'charm' in her stall. However, it turns out that Mak Ambar has passed away.

Since then, the spirit that has been helping her demands lives, and Sekar is possessed every night. Her three children try to find a cure, but their efforts only threaten their lives as a family.

Trailer for the film MENJELANG AJAL, which lasts two minutes, shows the main character, Sekar (Shareefa Daanish), performing a ritual with the shaman Mak Ambar (Dewi Pakis). The next scene shows Sekar's distress as customers at her food stall complain that the food is spoiled and smells bad.

Supernatural figures also start appearing at her food stall. The tension increases as Sekar begins to be possessed and behaves irrationally. Her three children, Dani (Daffa Wardhana), Ratna (Caitlin Halderman), and Dodi (Shakeel Fauzi Aisy), are shown struggling to deal with their changed mother. The trailer, filled with suspenseful scenes, ends with Sekar injuring herself.

MENJELANG AJAL is the second horror film by Hadrah Daeng Ratu, produced by Rapi Films, following the success of the film SIJJIN which became one of the box office hits last year. This film is produced by Gope T. Samtani, and produced by Rapi Films in collaboration with Sky Media, Legacy Pictures, and Rhaya Flicks. The screenplay of this film is written by Deni Saputra and stars a lineup of talented actors, including Shareefa Daanish, Caitlin Halderman, Daffa Wardhana, Shakeel Fauzi Aisy, Ruth Marini, and Michael Olindo.
