Play Taxi Driver in the Movie 'MANGGA MUDA', Tora Sudiro Chooses to Cover Tattoos on His Body

Kapanlagi.com - Tora Sudiro is known as one of the actors who has many tattoos on his body. However, he is willing to remove the tattoos when involved in a feature film. Like in his latest film titled MANGGA MUDA, Tora has to remove the tattoos on his body.

Of course, it's not a permanent removal. The tattoos he has must be covered with special makeup. "Covered, it's special makeup. If someone hires me, I already include makeup, so I can cover it myself," said Tora Sudiro at XXI Plaza Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (19/1/2020).

Tora Sudiro said that not all films require him to cover his tattoos. In the film MANGGA MUDA, the director did not ask him to remove his tattoos. However, because he plays a taxi driver in this film, Tora feels that it is not suitable if his tattoos are not covered with makeup.

"If it is required, then I will cover them. But in this film, the director is actually relaxed. He means 'It's okay if you want to have tattoos'. But I thought it might not be suitable for this role, so I covered them," said Tora Sudiro.

1. Initially Feeling Uncomfortable

Tora Sudiro admitted that he initially felt uncomfortable when his tattoo was covered with makeup. However, because it has been done frequently, he eventually considered it as something normal.

"Not anymore now. But in the past, yes. It felt like, in the beginning, the oil was uncomfortable. But not anymore now," he said.

Covering the tattoo with makeup apparently cannot last long. According to Tora, the longest it can last is only half a day. "If it can last, it's only half a day. Then, it has to be covered again in the afternoon. It's more comfortable than before," he said.

2. Will Add More Tattoos

Although he often covers his tattoos when filming, Tora himself does not want to permanently remove his tattoos. Instead, Tora Sudiro plans to add more tattoos to his body.

"In fact, I want to add more. My little child keeps asking, 'Why isn't my name there yet?' His older siblings' names are already there, but why isn't his there?" Tora Sudiro concluded.
