Musician Iwan Fals Performs the Song 'Si Doel Anak Betawi' at the Mega Concert, Mandra: Unexpected

Kapanlagi.com - Last Friday night (17/1) the mega concert 'Akhir Kisah Cinta Si Doel' was held at RCTI Plus Studio, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta. The musicians who performed at the event were Iwan Fals, Slank, Armada, Wizzy, and were joined by the main cast of the final film in the trilogy SI DOEL THE MOVIE.

Iwan Fals performed four songs during the concert. What's interesting is his performance of the song Si Doel Anak Betawi in collaboration with Armada Band.

Mandra admitted that he couldn't believe it when he found out that Iwan Fals was performing a song that became the eternal soundtrack of the soap opera and film Doel. This is because he knows that Iwan is synonymous with performing songs with political and humanitarian themes.

"I didn't expect it, I've known Iwan for a long time, we as artists are also close, but he just sang the Doel song today. In our age, listening to old songs, it's definitely Iwan, Gombloh, the era of rebellious songs," said Mandra during the concert.

2. Not Preparing Anything

The cast of AKHIR KISAH CINTA SI DOEL is happy with the mega concert held before the release of the film on January 23. Mandra said that no special preparations were made because he only had a role as a filler for the event.

"There was no preparation at all. At least be healthy, because when doing something, you have to be healthy. Nothing special," said Mandra.
